We have been spending a lot of time with our Dwarf Nigerian milking goat, Honey. Her kids are weened so she is in full dairy production. We milk her twice a day so a sturdy and comfortable milking stand is a must. Here is our design for a great goat milking stand. This project only takes a few hours to complete, but it will give you and your goats years of service. Besides milking, it is also great for trimming the goats hooves and taking care of their coat. We put our goats favorite treat in the food dish to get her up the first time. She jumped up in no time and is now very used to the stand.
Drill pilot holes before you screw your deck screws in. This prevents the wood from splitting.
